Adult - Intro to Black Smith Class

Dive into the world of blacksmithing! This interactive class will teach you the fundamentals of this medium and introduce you to the thoughts and theories of how to ply this craft into a sculptural piece. You will spend 4 hours with head blacksmith Jon Ahreans learning the uses of the tools and techniques on shaping metal. It is a fun class and while it might seem to strenuous to some, you will learn to let the tools do the work for you! Jon has spent many years honing his craft. You can view all the examples of his work in the gallery.
In this beginner class you will learn to make 1 "S" hook.
Please dress appropriately for some interesting and dirty work.
Arrive 15 minuets early to go over safety concerns and sign the waiver.

Students will choose their desired colors, style, and shape of the glass blown pieces with Tammi. Decisions will be discussed the day of the class and any sudden issues or changes involving the creation of the pieces will be decided by Tammi.
